Pullen’s Lane is a private road in Headington, Oxford and is part of the Headington Hill Conservation Area. The Pullen’s Lane Association is responsible for its upkeep and amenity, using funds raised from residents and institutions in the lane. Pullen’s Lane is not a highway and there is no public right of way over it.

Lane Closure

Pullen’s Lane is periodically closed at the white gates adjacent to the junction with Cuckoo lane (100m from the Headington Road end) for 24hrs. No traffic is permitted to enter or leave the lane by that route during this time. Access will remain possible via Harberton Mead or Jack Straws Lane.

Contractors and statutory undertakers

Any undertaker including utilities companies wishing to work on the road or verges of Pullen’s Lane must first seek approval from the Association. General details of how work should be carried out, including traffic management and reinstatement requirements can be found on the Contractors page.
